i was thinking of upgrading my turbo once again. i just cant stay with one turbo for long. what are you guys opinions should i keep the evo 3 16g that i have now or should i go with a 18g or a t28. if you post please just dont say one and not give a reason why. i would also like some website to compare prices of the 2 diffrent turbos and what kinda numbers can be put down with each turbo. any info will be greatly appreciated

Re: dsm guys
Evo3 16G is a better turbo and cheaper than the 18G and the T28...
You've got a FWD yes?...Get a bigger turbo...Traction off the line is already an issue for FWD cars, especially with smaller turbos that can make full boost below 3000rpms...Depending on the car, you may be a little behind in the race right off the bat and you'll need the bigger turbo for up-top power to catch and pass before the race is over.
20Gs and T3/T4 50trims are streetable for daily driving and can still make great power up-top...Good all around turbos for FWDs if you've got the supporting mods for it...It's what I would have went with if I could do it again.

Re: dsm guys
i dont really have the supporting mods right this sec im workin on it. the things i have so far are the evo 3 16g fmic downpipe and a safc2. im gettin ready to order new 550 injectors and a turbo manifold within the month. so with those mods what would i be best at. i like the 16g better than my t25 or 14b i can tell a huge gain but like you stated i can loose traction sometimes not always if it spools up to fast in 1st

Re: dsm guys
I would get all the supporting mods for the 16g. That turbo along with the right parts can easily get you into the mid 300 whp mark, and net low 12 sec et's. Why upgrade the turbo, when you have barely realized the potential of the one you have now. Without the right supporting mods, you will be no better with a different turbo.
EVO 3 16g
FMIC with all piping
BOV
2.5 or 3" downpipe, 3" exhaust
upgraded clutch
550 or larger injectors
SAFC, MAFT, or DSM link
255 fuel pump
HKS cams (optional)
Do all that and get it tuned. If your not happy, step up.

Re: dsm guys
Havent heard much about the skunk2 cams. Most people I know run the HKS cams. This is Brian if you dont remember. I rolled with Joe in the Supra to Xtreme and my wife had the silver GSX. She has everything on the list except for the cams and a good tune, along with a couple of small problems that are soon to be fixed.
