what the hell is a DSM and what the hell is a eg? i have seen alot of posts about these and i was so lost about it b/c i dont know what they are....somebody please tell me

 

heh ... if you're serious ... a dsm is a diamond star motors aka known as mitsubishi, eagle talon and also evo's ;] eg's are 1992-1995 honda civic hatchbacks. eg- is what honda called that generation hatchback. peace

dsm was a joint project between chrysler and mitsubishi. lasers, 1g talon, 1g eclipses were DSM's. evos arent dsm's....people get confused because of the mitsubishi logo, aka diamonds in a starish pattern.

ok ... but the gallant vr-4 was a dsm ? i don't mind being corrected at all ... soo pretty much anything that came with a 4g63 engine was a dsm ? i try to make myself learn at least one thing a day ...kinda hard sometimes though ... thanks

 

im not going to read this whole thread.

but dsm was a joint thing between chrysler and mitsubishi. they created the eclipse laser and talon. the galant vr-4 may or may not be considered a dsm too some. the galant vr-4 uses the same setup as an awd model dsm. with the added aws. the last year dsm was around was for 95-96. after then the eclipse's were finished being produced through there production year solely by mitsubishi. hence the body change for '97. the evo. sharing the 4g63 set up is not a dsm. it is solely produced by mitsubishi.

that sums it up. and if i have complaints. i can argue.
