Default dsm crank help

im looking to do a crank swap the 4g64 in my 4g63 i was woundering if i need to get a crank from a 5 spd or will an auto work

Why do you want to use a different crank? I really dont think it should have a difference.

doesn't matter but you do need piston's and um lots of money

Yeah dude if you just slap 63 rods and pistons on a 4g64 crank your pistons are gonna slap the shit outta your head. Gonna have to get custom pistons. But to answer your question i believe the cranks are the same (auto/5spd.)

4g63 block + 4g64 crank + 4g63 rods + 2.3L pistons = 2.3L -_-
4g64 block + 4g64 Crank + 4g63 rods + 2.4L pistons = 2.4L -_-

I havea 2.3L in my garage, I had a 2.4L in my talon which now Bandit owns...

Ill sell you all the parts you need. Shoot me a PM

Doesnt matter if the car is auto or manual either.

2.3L pistons have the wrist pin rasied
2.4L have the taller deck making up for the longer stroke

I can sell you the motor in my garage for a great price.
