your best bet would be to get some screws and body filler.... put to screws in put body filler over the screws sand it... then have someone paint it...... that way they will never fall off and it will look the best

anyone wanna put em on for me? i feel like im gunna royally screw them up. i was actually planning to take it to a body shop and put my skirts on, fix my hatch (it doesnt sit straight), and put my spoiler on (S14 se spoiler on a s13 fastback)...

anyone wanna do at least the skirts and/or spoiler for me? i dont trust myself drilling holes in my car. of course, i'm not looking for body shop prices though... i can pay them at the body shop

edit: to whoever might want to do this: but my car currently has no inspections, no exhaust, and no insurance, so you'd have to do it at my house (tysons/vienna)

i put my side skirts on with sticky pads and lots on them, then i drilled some wood screw up through the bottom into where the stock screws sat. it looks ok, but i have since decided to change them back to stock.... i like it beter.

If the double sided tape doesn't stick, get some better tape, like the stuff 3M makes for this exact purpose. Then make sure you've cleaned off the fiberglass properly, using a good degreaser. The fiberglass probably either has mold release or residue from being polished after removal from the mold. Fiberglass is really easy for 3M tape to stick to, you just have to make sure it's clean. You're trying to get the tape to stick to the smooth gelcoated top surface, not the rough back, right??

im trying to get it to stick to the rough back... why would i tape the part that is showing?

and i used the 3M tape... i even heated it up and the stuff stuck like superglue.... ... ... for a day. then they fell off again. i dunno im not gunna do it myself, i've decided to pay someone to do it right.

Many side skirts have a flange that goes around the edge, which is the mounting surface. I figured you were trying to tape it in the middle, not on the ends. Tape in the middle is good for support, but you need something alittle more substantial on the ends, like screws or a good adhesive.
