Default Distributor problems (any skilled techs please read)

Ok so I have a 99 si it was throwing a code 08 for tdc sensor so two days later the car won't start and I take the dizzy off and the two prongs that go into the cam are broke off so I find the broken pieces take them out the motor and I go and buy a dizzy put the new one on turn th key weren't start pull the new dizzy off the prongs broke. After that I check timing all was good the only thing is the belt was loose and found that I need a new tensior .. So can someone please tell me why I keep breaking dizzys? Could the tensioner be the problem ?

So, let me make sure that I understand you situtation. The two ears that sit in the grove on the cam are breaking? If so when you change your ten. pully look at the timing belt to see if you have any missing teeth or any signs that the belt is turning, but the cams are not turning. Or try to turn the engine over by hand to make sure the engine is turning freely.

I can turn the motor by hand perfectly fine and no teeth missing the disributor was put on the right way so that rules out 180 out

Sounds like you when you are cranking it, there is slack in the belt at first, then it finally catches and gives a delayed jerk to the rotating assembly, thus transferring into the dizzy, breaking those 2 teeth off.

Fix the tensioner and replace the dizzy again, you should be fine.
