Default d16y8 vs zc dohc

i was wondering which motor is better, a d16y8 or a zc dohc. i planned on putting one of these in my 91 civic hatchback. Just want to put something with a little more power than my stock motor. Cant really afford a b-series motor.

They have around the same power. It would be a waste to swap the y8 for the zc imo

it's all in how much work you want to do. if you car is an si then the zc is a drop in with very few wiring changes, while the Y8 is obd-1. its really up to you.

a y8 would be the easiest and more readily available,
then get a good clutch and nitrous! that will get you there!
