Default d15 valve cover

I was trying to take my valve cover off to replace the gasket and the tube seals and I couldn't get it off. I didn't want to pry it off. There's only the four bolts on the top holding the valve cover on right. Is there anything else I have to remove? Also I think I heard somewhere to hit the side with a rubber mallet to jar it loose. I just don't want to mess anything up.

prolly just stuck on there good. a rubber mallet with a few blows from each side wont hurt it. it will make a distinct noise when you do break it loose.

oh, are the spark plug wires out of the cover?
