D-series starter length????

Default D-series starter length????

I have a d15b2 motor in my 1991 civic hatch dx. I called to get a new starter from advanced auto and they said there are 2 different shaft lengths on the starter. ONe is 7" and the other is 7 5/8". which one is it???how do you measure the shaft link???thnx for the help in advanced

I'm pretty sure the only difference in the starters for the b2 is whether or not it has an auto or manual tranny. I dont know which is which, but the NAPA number for manual is 244-6107 amd auto is 244-6352, which is where you should get your starter anyway
