Default d series build

has anyone seen a all motor dseries and what kind of power it put down, dont give negative feed back its not wanted.I want to do something different and since every has ls/b16/b20 in crx i plan to stick with my d15b and build it for high compression. No im not looking to make it a monster just want to take a single cam to the next level,so if you have any experience with them such as prices on build, power they have made, and the quality of parts let me know

currently this is on my mind
single cam zc bottom end or d15b,d15b head,pm7 pistons, stock sleeves but honed, arp rod bolts and MAYBE some rods if i find some i like

for the head i plan to get
valve springs and retainers, adjustable cam gear, some type of high compression cam gear and maybe some head work such as port and polish

followed by skunk 2 intake manifold,dc sport 4-1 header

once that is all sad and done maybe a small shot off a wet kit

dont say this is point less i dont care, but any suggestions on parts,or tips would be greatly appreciated

NO.

The downfall is that with all the money spent doing this to a d series you could have done it to a b series and gotten way better results

If you're going to build a sohc better boost the damn thing and get 200+whp + the respect of having a boosted car/single cam/quick dseries
There is no point of spending so much money and having a 150whp N/A sohc vtec motor that my camry can beat

Oh and sorry for given you what you stated you didn't want
I just seen this happen so many times im just trying to help
And to get you away from this path

Ask smokelessef for all those d series sites
You'll have better luck finding what you're looking for there than here
Good Luck

if you want to be different go hseries or hybrid motor or kseries
and there is no such thing as too many b series swapped cars =P

Spending all that time and money on being different and slow is a waste of building a car on your part

Basically you wanna drop lets say 2-3g's into a d15b to be slow/nothing special just different

If you wanna be different go buy a ford fiesta or a geo metro and put a d series in that bitch
Then youll be special fo sho i promise

to go with a d you have to get better rods stock rods are rated for 200hp or 7500 rpms, which ever comes first. money wise i would go with a d16y8, t t25,hf mani.,the t25 adapter plate, nice intercooler,hondadata,blow-off, and 330cc injectors. set at 8lbs it makes 179hp and 186ft lbs in a 88 crx with si trany
if you have the body could be done for less than 1500 easy
