Default compression and leak down test

would like to test my motor to see how healthy it was, just wondering where is a good place to do it? I can't do it myself, i don't have access to any of those type of tools.

Compression guage from autozone should be around $20. . . then all you need is a spark plug socket. . . What type of car is it on?
