I know that code 9 is the CYP (No 1 cylinder position sensor) but the only thing i could think of was to change the distributor (sensor is in distributor),
got my brand new dizzy in, still code 9....anyone had this problem before??

 

Here's the rest of the story...

I rewired B10, B12, and C1. Still CEL. We know the problem is not the dizzy. It's BRAND NEW. I can't think of any simple solution other then rewiring everything. Has anyone else had a similar problem before? This one has got me stumped (doesn't happen often). Someone help us out!

Auto solution tells us that this problem should only exist on carb'd cars...wtf?

 

Try a known good ECU, it could be an ECU issue..
