clutch or what FML!!
ok guys let me start off by saying i have seen some crazy sh** b4 but this has me stumped. ok so i was on my way home last night had been up for 28hr at the casino haha. so im driving 5th gear 70mph i start to come up on a light i go to put it in 4th push clutch move shifter into 4th let go off the clutch and it felt like neutral so i push in agian put it back in 4th same thing. pull over and all the gears do it sitting with the car running i can go through all the gears without pushing the clutch its as if the clutch never came back out or whatever. the clutch was great b4 and when it happen no smell noise or anything slave/master cyl are good no leaks move fine its like i pushed the clutch in and its permanently STUCK. so now when i push it in it feels like it should good pressure but it does nothing it use to make a slight noise you could barley hear it if you were sitting and pushed it in you could hear a slight shhhhhh noise nothing crazy please help.... i need to sleep im starting to see **** maybe this is just a dream and im really just sleeping at the casino i hope i wake up with my head on the slot machine or a slut machine haha the first person to get the problem right gets to spend 100 bucks at the casino i sawer

So the clutch pedal sticks and stays there when you push it? You're not really making a lot of sense; you need to explain what's happening a little clearer.

ha ha its pretty clear but just for you it is a 98 prelude sh 5 speed the pedel feels normal it goes in and out just fine good pressure and the slave cyl is pushing the fork side to side but nothing happens its like the clutch is stuck engaged i didnt burn it up the clutch was fine when it happened i was just driving normal dont get me wrong i do push the car but it has never had any clutch issues no smell or smoke or anything so i go to put it into 4th i push the clutch felt normal put it into 4th let it go and it was like i never let it go. but the pedal came back out just fine pressure is good

I'm thinking that if the bearing was stuck, the pedal wouldn't be able to return and the fork wouldn't be moving at all because it would be held relatively captive at the position of the stuck bearing. That's why my hypothesis is a broken pressure plate. I could be full of shit if the throwout fork isn't a captive type and only pushes on the bearing, because I can't remember what Hondas use...
