Default clutch problem....i think : \

I just got my 89 civic si back and everything was running perfect, no grinds no cel then for some reason I go to pull into my parking space and I shift down into first. I let off the clutch and push the gas, nothings happening. I completely let my foot off both pedals and my car wont even stall. No wierd noises or anything . Please help I have no clue what to do I need this car to get to work and any help would be appreciated.

Nope, no smells. Just went out like 5 min. ago to try it again, same thing. Could it be possible that somthing happened with the clutch cable that wont let it depress all the way?

sounds like you broke a shifter fork and the car is stuck in neutral. try second gear. if it does the same thing as with first gear, i don't know.

you probably broke the bolt that goes through throwout bearing fork.

did you check to see if both of the axles are ok, and still all the way in the trans. dont know what all you got done but if they were out of the trans that could be the prob.

wouldn't that result in a very nice crunch sound as he tries to push it in gear?

So if the axel popped out that would result in the whole, its in gear and both feet are off the pedals and im not stalled situation?
