Default clocking a turbo

does anyone know if you have to clock a turbo if you take it off the manifold but put it right back on the same one?. I read something about it but i am pretty sure i dont have too. It was saying something about making the angles right with the manifold. My manifold was cracked so i took it off to get it fixed but now i have to put the turbo back on and dont want to screw it up.

Cool Re: clocking a turbo

No. Clocking is done only if shit doesn't line up or doesn't position its self right. But if u are puting it back on the same manifold on the same car and motor U should be fine. Maybe u were thinking of priming? Thats really never a bad idea.

Just hook everything up as usual and pull your fuel pump fuse. Thry to crank it acouple of times, only for about 2-3 sec. a time to cycle the oil through the turbo.

Its always a safe bet to 'prime' any turbo brand new or used (just incase previous owner was an idiot) just my 2cents.
