Default civic running slugish

I keep posting about my civic but this is really bothering me.

When i first turn on the car and start driving it for the first 5 min. or so it runs full power.

But after it heats up a little i feel a good deal of power loss.

My car does run a little cold gonna replace the thermo soon but im not sure if that would cause a problem at all.

Anyone who has any ideas of what it could be let me know.

Thanks

pull out all your sparkplugs, and check for oil on top of the pistons.

check your oil, and see if you smell coolant, or see milky looking substance on the dip stick.?

I just changed my oil a few days ago and there was no coolant or anything, plugs and wires were just replaced.

In my 240, the guy who had the car before me took the clutch fan off for god only knows why and i had no idea. so when my car heated up i lost a shit load of power. could there be a fan not working? my a/c fan works but im not sure about the radiator fan. could that have something to do with it?

There is no such thing called timming that could be the problem!

When the vehicle gets warm, the crank/cam sensor can start fucking up and causing your problem.

when i had my probe GT - basically this would happen to me as well, but it was cause i had a short ram intake, and when the motor would heat up, all it would do is suck up hot air :\

i would check the simple things, such as your intake pipe (could have a huge crack in it, sucking in hot air after the motor heats up.)

or if you can, check the crankshaft position sensor, or something of the sort. I don't think it would be timing, considering if it were the timing, i would believe that it would run like that all day all the time.
