its about time to change my timing belt on my 93 civic ex and i am goin to throw a waterpump and adjustable cam gear on too while im in there. my question is can any body tell me what would be the best cam timing for my setup(intake, exaust)? will this even add horse power on my sohc?

 

it will tell you everything you need with the cam gear in the box.

 

from what I have heard and understood is that on a SOHC you don't get any real gain w/out a cam shaft installed. so you can get a little top end or low end by adavncing and retarding it.

Hope this might help alittle but I'm sure someone has some additional input or first hand experience w/ it.

 

the box came with no instructions but ill play with it and let you guys know how it goes

 

I would just leave it stock at 0 degrees and say you got a shiney cam gear.

 

dont mess with the setting unless youre on a dyno.
