car shut off on me
my car shut off on my ass goin home its electrical i know it cause if i held the starter on and held da gas it would rev up but if i left it on the on position the cluster wouldnt light up can anyone help me out thanks

get a new ignition switch. NAPA carries them.....its common in that particular model.
you gave it away when you said you could hold the key in the start position and it runs, but in the run pos. there is no lights in the cluster.
new switch is about 125 (getting a junkyard or used on will only band aid it,.....you will have to do it again.) and takes a novice about an hour to install.
i will just say this: i have installed about ten of them in the last year.

hey whats up I was looking at his car and it used to be an automatic converted to 5spd is the switch different cause we got a switch and it was differrent than the one he had. his was all spliced up so I'm guessing they are different and the rigged it up to work? Any info would be appreciated. bump for my homey.
