I go out yesterday, and I'm driving around. I can start to hear the gears in my car almost "wind" up. It's extremely loud, and it'll kick my car out of gear.

I figure its a little low on tranny fluid for some reason, so I drive it home, and I see a puddle of tranny fluid sitting in my driveway.

Almost completely dry of tranny fluid. We're moving out of our house so I dont have any jackstands, but anyone want to give me an idea of what I'm going to find under there?

Anyone seen this before?

aiight did u just let them keep throwing out of gear or u forced it to stay in gear? i had this problem before my 5th and 4th gear always kept popping out and people told me that it might be my syncros or a bad clutch i was like shyt, so i flushed out my mtf and only like a 1/4 of a quart came out which there is suppose to be 2.1 quarts in there. so i filled it up took it on the road and nothing eversince, runs like new again. but first u might have to find out where ur fluid is leaking

I had that happen to me in my first car. I was in hampton and started gettin a really loud whining, and i just tried to push on and it started kicking my low gears out. Bout a mile or so back on the highway it just stopped working period on me, so I was stranded on the highway till my mechanic (popz) came with the car dolly. He concluded it was screwed so we just went and copped another one from the junker. Dont think this will help you but just thought I would put i've been in that situation. Sorry, hope you fix it.

well....sounds like
a) you've got a leak somewhere where your bellhousing connects to the tranny...
b) one of the fill/drain bolts came out of the tranny...

get a jack and lift it up and see what you can see. look to make sure the drain/fill bolts are in and see if you can see anyplace the tranny looks to be leaking from. just put some 10w-30 in (not synthetic) if you have to until you can get honda MTF....

got the car up today.

the flywheel cover has a small cutout, or chip in it but I dont think that has anything to do with the fluid.

there was a loose bolt on the bottom of the tranny. The seal between the bell housing and block I guess is really farked up.

It looks like it's slowly seeping through the seal, or whats left of it.

anyone seen it happen before? can I do anything or should I take it in and pay up the ass for it.

Do you have a warranty??? This would be a pain in the ass. I replaced the seals in my pos 85' supra and that was pretty easy but it was rwd. Do you have access to a lift?

I have a warranty, but I also dont have the stock clutch or flywheel, and I'm thinking acura might try to screw me over with that.
