Default can you fix a ZR rated tire?

Three days after my new wheels go on I get a flat on this pictured tire. These tires are 275/35/19 Nitto NT555's and are ZR rated and cost me way to much to replace a brand new tire. Last I knew though it was next to impossible to repair a ZR rated tire and you almost def. have to buy a new one. Anyone know of any real good local (VA Beach) tire shop that can maybe tackle this?

I can't help you, but I am curious to know why a ZR rated tire is almost impossible to repair?!?! Please school me...

Actually I got it fixed already at BOSS tire. It was a huge chunk of rusty steel. If you get a flat in the sidewall they normally can't repair it, but up top I just had them patch it. It should hold up fine.

That is with all tires, not just ZR's.

Why is that?
