can a non-turbo fc3s be turbo'd?
hey guys,
i was wondering if a 1988 mazda rx-7 fc3s non-turbo be turbo'd?
i was gonna buy this car from my friend as was just curious.

your best bet is either finding a turbo II donor car, or buying the compete turbo II swap from a Import Dealer. It'll be ALOT easier and less headaches and less money. Do some research, go to www.RX7club.com for more information/ write up's.
This is the best advice anyone could have given you, check out www.rotaryresurrection.com as well for some pricing quotes on what labor from a reputable shop will cost you

yeah do the whole swap and dont forget the intercooler is a topmount so swap hoods or get a front mount

impossible i had a freind who had one and and he turboed it... actually when he bolted the turbo to the block and did all the piping the rotary motor spun backwards and totaled the pistons. not a good idea boosting a non turbo rx7.
