C.E.L. ?
Ok i took my cat off of my hx when i installed my header wich of course is makeing me throw a secondary O2 sensor C.E.L. If i dissconect the battery it goes away and i feel the VTEC just fine, but when it comes back on my VTEC isnt as noticeable. Is the code causing my ecu to run in a limp or default mode? Any info will be greatly appriciated!
yea i thought since u gave me the most insightful info ive ever gotten id help u out... with a little more than "whoa"
i just did the same thing a little while ago with the cat and i could tell a noticable power loss from the damn rear sensor...
i got an MIL eliminator from some guy off of ebay for a 2000 lude which was working great till i f'd up the sensor itself... after i installed it tho it felt like i was getting the power i should be and that the pain in the ass ecu wasnt taking anything away...
that was until i got lazy and didnt wanna take the heat sheild off of the cat to keep taking the sensor out and used pliers... it ruined the rear sensor and now i have to try to find another one...
but long story short the MIL eliminator does work just be careful with the wiring... heres the one i got:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT
looks like it works on any post '95 hondas.. hope that helps
one more thing DO NOT CUT THE WHITE WIRES on ur sensor... the eliminator comes with green and white wires that connect to the existing grey and black wires, respectively... the directions kinda sucked so be careful
