Burping/Bleeding Coolant System

Burping/Bleeding Coolant System
How do you burp/bleed your coolant system on a 95 EX motor. I know there is a nipple that you are supposed to open that is located where the top radiator hose connects to the head, but are you supposed to take the radiator cap off fill it up and then start the car. If so what do you do after that and how do you know if it is done.

Just start the car with the radiator cap off and let it run through. As you see the level go down, add coolant to it.
No major surgery involved.

Re: Burping/Bleeding Coolant System
not all single cam's have that nipple. sometimes they are on the thermostat housing. what i usually do is just add coolant while squeezing the lower hose to burp it until it's topped off. then i'll start the car and let it run for a bit and add coolant as necessary.
