broken wheels studs
Has anyone replaced wheel studs for a 96-00 civic? If so could how hard was it to do and how long did it take? Any info on the procedure would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Re: broken wheels studs
Wrong thread should be in tech talk....
If they are in the rear then you can hammer them out.. If they are in the front then you have to press the wheel bearing out and replace the stud then press the bearing back in... |
Re: broken wheels studs

I had a friend do my front passenger side in like 20-30 minutes for a pack of cigs and a pound of jumbo steamed shrimp.

Re: broken wheels studs
i had to replace a stud on my 95 teg. goodyear broke one off and tryed to blame it on me. they wanted to charge me over $600 for one $1.50 stud. basicly they have to use a 20 ton press to get the hub out then replace a bunch of shit because of broken seals and shit. eventually they gave in and did it for free.
so fuck goodyear in ashburn :fu: |
Re: broken wheels studs
while you are at it. go order some arp wheel studs. replace em all. life long lasting.

Re: broken wheels studs
If they are on the front, you have to seperate the hub from the knuckle. If you want, I can do it for you $30.. let me know.
