according to turbonetics you only need to let the car idle for 5 minutes to get full lubrication of the cartrdige, after that they say BOOST THAT BITCH.........but every turbo company is different i guess........

just make sure you properly lube the turbo after install by priming the oil pump and then after that go buck fucking wild.

500 miles is what I was told, because the gaskets have to get used to being heated and cooled, or they will crack if you start doggind the shit out of it....

then again..when i turboed my si...first night I had it I boosted the hell outta that bitch, nothing ever happened...so im gonna say just go with 5 min.

It probably won't hurt to baby it for 500 miles....for any drastic changes.

You do not have to break in a turbo like you break in an engine. Let it idle for a little while to get it lubed, go on an easy drive to make sure the install was good and getting boost, bring back to shop and pop the hood and check for leaks. If every thing is good, let er rip!!!
