Looking to turbo, not sure on the compression or whatever for a turbo setup. i already got the turbo kit. just need some opinions on what motor to get. i am looking at poss getting 400hp. let me know the best setup. i have a bout 4000 to spend.

Good luck on getting to 400. I'd shoot for 300 at the most. Get the GSR swap.

why not 400? Take your pick, ls, gsr, b16, etc. The cheapest route would be a ls with some aftermarket pistons and rods slapped in. Crank the boost up in the 20psi range(depending which turbo you got) and you will have yourself around 400whp.

Well, I'm going back to D-series. I currently have a B16 and I mean it's the most common swap in a CRX. I'm going to be unique and I'm trading my friend for his turbo Y8 setup. My friend has a D16 Turbo in his car and it has 432WHP, and He built it for under 2 grand and 1500 for a good turbo kit. You have many options!

I'd say turbo the Y8 once you get to illinois cause you don't know how your car will act with the turbo on it yet, and you don't wanna be stuck in bumfuck, Nowhere with out a tow for miles. You know?

That is not going to happen in 5days if you do it yourself. Wait til you get there before you try that yourself.
