Default boost leak?

i have a gst eclipse with a super 16g turbo, ported manfiold, aftermarket BOV, and intake and an exhaust...

when my turbo spools up really fast it stops spooling arounf 8 or 9 psi and all my hp stops...the car starts jerking and its like im not gettin any air to the engine...i dunno if this is the wastegate maybe or wut...i thought it could be a bad intercooler pipe...i also checked all the vacuum lines and they r ok...if i spool it up slow it qill go up to 15 and start doing this...i really am confused about how to fix it any help qould be appreciated...

yeah it could be a boost leak. if you're losing air the car will run rich and will 'feel' like what you described. I have a pressure tester that will fit on a 16g. They are easy to make.
You need a valve stem, a few pieces of pvc pipe and a coupler. All in all costs less than $10 to make.

i have a couple extra boost leak testers that i made. get in touch with me and i'll let you use one if you want. I had the same problem on my b16g and fixing two small leaks fixed it right away.

you should just borrow one of my boost leak testers. you find the leaks by listening for hissing and then poor soapy water over all of the areas where you think there may be a leak. If the water bubbles, that is where your leak is. To seal the leaks, either tighten your hose clamps if thats where the leaks are, or use some rtv sealant to close up pinhole leaks around the BOV or TB. most likely, your leak is between the outlet of your 16g and the j-pipe.
