boost!
i'm going 2 hook up my turbo this weekend and need 2 know if 11psi of boost is 2 much 4 a usdm h22. havent had time to get it sleeved yet but tired of looking at my turbo kit sitting on a shelf.

Ask anyone who has a boosted H22 with a stock block and they will tell you that they are testy engines. It's all about your setup and how you're going to excute it. If I were you, I would do it right the first time and save yourself alot of time/money in the process. I defiantely recommend upgrading the bottom end so that you can enjoy the boost longer and crank it up if you want.

I allread have pistons rods valve springs ect. just don't have time right now to pull the whole engine to get it sleeved. also need to fix my beater so I will have something 2 drive while the lude is incapacitated.

which pistons you have? cuse i thought unless you get the Wiseco new pistons, any others you would HAVE to sleeve... due to the FHM (i think thats the material?) cylindar walls...
the weak points on a h22 are the piston ring lands, and rods. the stock rods tend to "egg" above 7800 rpms. i highly suggest a J&S safeguard. when/if i ever boost one day... i wont without it.

I have a 4th gen. I have pistons to install but want 2 get the motor sleeved first. just want 2 know a safe boost range on stock internals untill i can sleeve it and install the new pistons,rods ect. i have everything for a great setup except the time right now.
