Bigger pistons or LS block? HELP
what do you guys think? ive got a gsr
i need 81.5mm pistons. i have oversized ctr pistons but i need bigger ones
pistons are gonna cost just as much if not more
of course the ls block will call for way more compression though

Re: Bigger pistons or LS block? HELP
im either going to look for a ls block bc it could be cheaper and just use the pistons i have rather than spending another 500 on pistons
although the position im in... itd be great to find a b20 block
im kinda also posting to possibly also see if anyone has one

Re: Bigger pistons or LS block? HELP
best answer is going to be buy an LS block for around $100 and an LS vtec kit for another $100-150. you have the pistons already and you'd already have to buy a new headgasket.
or you can spend a little bit and buy some topline or wiseco pistons in 81.5mm or even 82mm and run the GSR block keeping your internal oil line, girdle, and oil cooler.
what would I do? If knew the compression of the CTR pistons was what I wanted, I'd go find an LS donor block.

Re: Bigger pistons or LS block? HELP
the only way i can use the ctr pistons is if i find a ls block
but if i can also find a b20 block i wouldnt mind buying pistons for it
so i buy bigger pistons for my gsr motor or get a ls block and use the ctr
