Default Battery Relocation how-to anyone?

2000 Acura Integra with GSR motor

Hey guys, broke another front bumper and now have the car parked at a buddies house in his garage so we plan on spending some time in the engine bay before the new front bumper goes on. SO, one of the things we are going to do is relocate the battery to the trunk area. i dont plan on buying any kits as i want to do this all myself and make my own brackets. my question is:

What will I need and need to do to tackle this project? Size wire, est amount of wire, etc...

Also in case this needs to be in consideration, I do have a system. 300w amp and 12" kicker sub. I know with the system drawing power maybe thicker wire will be needed

Thanks in advance! -Mick

about 16 foot of 0/4 guage cable...a battery box, available at any marine store/bass pro/walmart etc...

then ground the battery in the trunk...run the cable up front and connect to the fuse box/oem power cable and hide all your wiring

basically thats it

Make sure to include a fuse or circuit breaker in the trunk as close to the battery as is practical.

And maybe consider a search next time also..

Dont forget to fuse it! And use 0/2 ga wire for best result.

You don't need 2/0 (00 gauge) to start a Honda. 2 gauge is fine, no need for anything larger, and 2 gauge is a lot easier to run through a car than huge 00. If 2 gauge works great, there isn't any need to throw the extra expense, weight (00 is twice as much copper as 2 ga, plus the extra insulation diameter), and hassle for larger wire which won't add anything.
