B20 Turbo

Ok so my JDM B20B jumped timing on me and dropped a valve so i'm looking to buy another B20 and boost it. My question is which one of the B20 variants are best for boosting and what steps should i take before boosting. Just looking for a good street-tune on prob 12psi with hopes to make around 250-300whp and as my daily. Also, what ECU to use.. my guess would be the B20B4 with an OBD1 ECU. Excuse my lack of knowledge...
