Hey anyone heard that if you put a auto b20 motor onto a 5-speed tranny do you have to switch the cams? I've read different post saying that and some say they dont.... Just trying to find out the truth to this...

I have a 97 B20 going into a 95 teg, using tranny and other parts off teg to do it...
All replys are greatly appreciated....Thankz

 

I just did the same thing to my teg like 5 days ago an it runs fine. didn't need to change cams.

 

You do not need to replace cams just because you put a different transmission on.. The 5 spd cams are better, but it really makes very little difference in the scheme of things.
