b18c1 skunk2 intake manifold
I just bought a skunk2 manifold. And was just wondering if someone could tell me what else I have to by to be able to install this.. I've been told a new intake and i need an intake gasket. And is there anything I should watch out for when installing this that could cause sometime to go bad with the car?
just a gasket. The only problem your gonna have is space. Its can be a pain to get the bottom bolts in and tightened with the motor in the car. No big deal once you get started you will see its pretty easy. Dont forget to swap all sensors, fuel rail , and etc
like he said just a gasket....and space is tight but i did it with my motor in and is wont bad at all and i reused my gsr intake pipe. the filter just pointed more down
A pain in the ass? hardly.
Unplug the Injectors, take out the 3 bolts that hold in the fuel rail, then move the injectors from the old manifold to the new, make sure you dont lose any of the o-rings for the injectors. put the fuel rail back on, bolt it down. plug the injectors back in, the whole process should take less then 30 min.
as for the "plugs", they arent universal so its pretty obvious where they will need to go, and the vaccum lines to manifold are just as easy....
dont be discouraged.

Here I put in a key word you said in bold ^.......... Dont froget about the vac lines. And have you ever put one on? I have and it is not a 30 min job. 2-3 hrs at the least if you know what the hell you are doing!O and here is what you are looking at http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/howto/sk2manifold/
O and here let me put something that is at the bottom of the page
GSR intake manifold removal can be a royal pain in the ass. So don't hesitate,
go ahead and shoot yourself in the head...

And another side note " Be careful to NOT break off the knock sensor when putting in the new mani. I have seen it done many times before and I even did it the first time I installed mine and those fuckers are not cheap (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1992-...3756.m20.l1116) ."But there is not but one way to find out if you can do it or not.GL and have fun
