Default b18b1 into 89 crx si

this weekend i was planning on putting a b18b1 into my 89 crx, i currently have a b18a1 in it. when i got the b1 it didnt have any sensors on it at all. so i figured i could just take the sensors off of the a1 and transfer them to the b1. well when i took the coolant temp sensor off of the b18a1 and went to go put it on the b18b1, i noticed i had nowhere to put it. now i'm pretty sure that i have to have that sensor, but i dont know what to do about it. so is it possible for me to use the b18b1 without converting to obd1. and what should i do about that sensor? if ANYONE knows how to fix this problem, or can get this engine in my car, and get it running correctly... i'd be more than willing to pay some good money

thanks in advance
-Nick

I think you can get around it by simple hard wiring your radiator fan to either come one when the car is one, or to a toggle switch.

Okay, let me tell you how it works. On a b18a motor there are 2 wires on the back next to the oil sending unit. That's the 2 wires for the temp. On a b18b motor the 2 wires are on the end of the water neck. right above the starter. Just extend the wires and get a plug for it and wire them up.

yeah that too. haha. I have to check and see if that was done to mine. I hate having my fan hard wired.
