ive got a b17 turboed in my crx and one of the pistons has blown. ive heard that because its a b17 that i can use b16 and b18 parts but as far as the pistons go could i use b16 or b18 pistons or do i have to find some oem b17 pistons?

 

I believe you can use b16 pistons because they are the same bore as the stock b17's. The person who would be the one to ask, would be Enigma. Shoot him a PM. So far from what I know, he is very familiar with the B17.

But honestly, if your going to replace it without doing upgraded pistons, use Hastings Piston rings.

 

All B-series motors have the same bore or 81mm except for the b20's which is 84mm.

 

I had a B17 the engine is exactly the same as a B16 with the exception of the crank. Strokes it the extra .1 and lowers compression.
