ok i have a 92 civic hatch and i swapped a swapped out my stock d15b8 for a b16a2, and im having starting problems. im trying to run this motor with an obd1 ecu and i am using the stock wiring harness within the cars interior. when i try to start the car, all i get is this godly backfire(sounds sweet ). the ecu gave me engine codes to check my O2 sensor and my MAP sensor, i can understand getting the code for the O2 sensor, but on the other hand i dont have a map sensor, so wth do i do?? plz some help

 

how do you not have a map sensor?

 

the engine i bought didnt come with one....

 

you might want to get one of those, and then your car will prolly run! you NEED that.

I might just have a stock MAP laying around, I'll check the box with my stock TB to see if its in there, I'll never be going back to it so, yeah.

just get a tb mounted one! it works the same and your motor has a space for it!!
