b16a sounds wrx

Default b16a sounds wrx

i have a b16a swap in a 94 eg coupe. it starts perfect and idles perfect. when i start driving it sounds like a wrx. i been told a lot of things but would like tech help pleaseeee

Do you have a cold-air intake?
My friend had an h22 that sucked in some water, and ended up snapping a rod and bending some valves.
Sounded just like a WRX, right after it happened.

it has a short ram intake. i been told it could be dirty injectors, bent valve, map sensor, or sparkplug wire

check your spark plugs and plug wires, you are firing on only 3 cylinders hence the subie sound

i can almost guarantee it

A loose spark plug in the cylinder

Incorrect firing order (plug wires are not correctly plugged into the distributor or to the correct cylinder)

Mine did the same when my valve cover gasket leaked oil down in the plug tubes
