I make OBD2-OBD1 adapter harnesses and sell them through VR4-ever if you need one. Contact him for pricing info.

you can stil use the stock throttle cable, youll just have to bend one of the mounting points on the body out, and flip the bracket on the manifold upside down and bend the holding peice up. I kept my stock one and just modified it. BUT IT WOULD BE WAY EASIER TO BUY THE SI CABLE AND MOUNTING BRACKET!!

heres a pic. of how i did the throttle cable setup if you decide you dont want to spend more money on those parts.

i am deffinately going to enlist the aide of some of you in this so.... early next month who will want to make some money?? I'm pretty sure i could get the motor in my car no problem, with a mount kit and all, but the whole wire harness conversion and all that........ no way!

i saw the hell of my y8 harness and i don't want to deal with a OBD1 JDM to OBD2 USDM harness conversion. i have no idea what needs to be done there

and when i called noyan they told me they did NOT supply axels or mounts but recomended hasport mounts and DC2 axels

The OBD1 to OBD2 conversion harness is easy, it just plugs into your ECU harness and then into the ECU, it just adapts the connector type and pinout of one OBD generation to the other. It's a short plug and play adapter harness. There is no difference between the USDM and JDM OBD types, they're exactly the same around the world.

yeah but the ECU is on the passenger side, and in the JDM car that would be where my steering wheel is, so i know i need to change something..... would it work to get a 99-00 si wiring harness??

It is illegal to put an older motor in your ride, so you would need a 98 or above to swap in. But who cares about the law anyways I was just letting you know if you care about that. Have fun with the swap though hope everything works out good for you.

Haha. Be careful around emissions time. They know how to tell the difference.

Its a really easy swap though.
