Default B16 Turbo or N/a

Okay, so here's what I have to work with.

89 Crx HF with a B16a swap with under 55k on the swap. I was wondering what would be a better Decision to go with. Turbo Vs. All Motor

My goal's are to be in high 13's if not 12's, I currently don't have a job cuase I recently Quit my job after a year. I will Have around 600 on my tax returns to play around with.I should have a job here soon, I am just trying to get some info from some of you guys from your setups. This car will be a daily driver and a weekend racer. So Lets here what you got.

This hasn't been discussed yet. [/sarcasm]

Ok, really. Everyone is going to say that it's all about what you want to spend and what you want out of the car. Monetarily, all-motor is cheaper and more reliable. It's arguable that turbo is more fun...but it's all about opinion.

I dont really want to spend over 3 grand on the motor for right now...the only turbo car i have driven was a conquest and it was falling apart...i really wanna be in the 13's/12's in the 1/4 but i dont want so much maintance cost

I don't know how you're gonna go fast without spending money, but good luck with it.

Dude. No offense, seeing how I have no job right now, but save your money. Put it away...

Me. I would boost it. If you want to be "ghetto" you can build a kit for cheap; if you want to boost and get tuned, and have "nice" stuff, 600 isn't gonna cut it.

And also, I wouldn't do a NA all motor build for a B16. Thats just me though.

Yah, maybe LSD+Azenus+Lightest CRX+and a good driver.

I wonder how much less CRX's are from Cx hatches. Cx's weigh 2044lbs, from factory.

oh no..i mean i have 600 to play with once taxes come back i know it wont get me much....

The only thing im sketchy on going turbo is the maintance costs....and this would be my first turbo'ed vehicle. I havn't done much research on turbo yet.

I think ill just save my money for a while

Maintence costs? Oil?

Honestly, you get what you pay for. If you get a ghetto ass kit, your gonna have to check on it, replace bits and pieces.

Read up on turbos. Honestly, that 600 is what it's gonna cost you to get tuned with that turbo kit.

I'd get clutch, flywheel, tires, motor mounts and fill your tank up.If you wanna be a little quicker, and then you have a platform to build upon. Like I said, thats just me, either htat, or save the money.
