Default b16 transmission?

Problem: car shifts fine during normal driving. All shifts in the Vtec RPM range grind. also 5th will grind during normal driving if you dont double clutch.

What are my options to fix this? I dont want to buy another used tranny though. does anyone make an after market tranny besides that one for competition drag racing that cost 18,000.

Cable trans? if so get used to the grinds, at least in third, it sounds like you need a rebuild though

cable or hydro? cable's grind during hard shifts, mostly in third sometimes in fifth if the tranny has a lot of miles. hydro's shouldn't. but either way sounds like its time to rebuild.
