Default b16 questions

i just got a 92 xsi b16(a2 i beleive?) anyway, i still have my ls and was wondering what i can take off the b18a to get some powergains. i understand that most of the b series parts are easily interchangeable but i dont know which to take (if any) from the ls motor.

take the b18 block, slap your b16 head on it, do a little bit of wiring and oil routing, no one has ever done that before

well, um about that. the block has like 210,000 rough miles on it. id love to go ls/vtec but I have kinda already spent a bit of money for the complete swap. any other suggestions? i plan on boosting in about 6 months once i pay off my debts but want a lil more power before then

im assuming its in a da, just looking at your avatar...
and just makes me think..
why replace the bigger displacement motor (1.8l b18a)
for a smaller displacement motor (1.6l b16a)
just for vtec?

but if i were you, i'd take the suggestion above...do ls/vtec
jus replace rings/bearings...and if you dont go boost
take the pistons out of the b16 and throw them in the b18...
both will up your compression...thus providing more hp which your asking for......
but if you do go boost...leave b18 pistons in it, just replace rings/bearings

hope this helps, and if you need any help doing any of this...
hit me up

thanks for the tips. but like i said. i already have the entire swap. if i just paid for the whole swap and only use then head, that doesnt make more sense. also even though i went a little less on the displacement im still getting like 35 more hp for 10 less trq

there is no replacement for displacement, just remember that

All else equal, that would be correct.

Just put the B16 in,make sure it doesnt smoke too much when VTEC kicks in and wait to boost it..theres nothing your gonna want to use off the LS unless you want to go LS/VTEC.Or trade/sell the LS and get a B20 then use the B16 head.I love B20VTEC.

haha, ls/vtec and b20 vtec= the same thing minus 3 mm in bore, and the fact that a b20 has no cranckcasse pressure release. so that comment makes no sense
