B16 crank - is LS possible?
Hey guys,
Starting to build a b16a2, my friend offered me an LS crank, said it would work but I would need to use LS rods. Is that possible? I do not have that much experience and have never seen the rods for either. He also said I could look into custom rods, but I would much rather just buy a b16 crank because that to me is a lot of trouble. Let me know what ya'll think...
Thanks
Brian

no just use b16 crank the ls rod is longer than b16 and the b16 motor is not worth stroking or sleeving imo, as i have one that is turbo stock bore. if you want more displacement you should look into either lsvtec or sleeving your current b16 block...the lsvtec you could end up with a 2.1L vs b16 only a 1.9L that would make it durable and able to withstand alot of abuse. either way you choose i would sleeve for safety and max power . there is alot of info on the web about the ? you are asking. google it for more detail.
Hey man,
I got an eagle crank for sale stock fitment but will change displacement to 1.75L and the same crank can be used with bored block to change to 1.9L. I selling for $200, need it gone so let me know.

it will work with the ls rod and ls crank not b16 there's actually a write up on this somehwere on the internet try google...but it will for sure work with the ls crank and ls rod cause that was going to be my next project and i was going to bore out a b16- b17
