B14 Sucsess at the strip.....
Whats needed.......
1. SR20DET (GTiR)
2. JWT prototype GTiR cams
3. JWT forged Z pistons (Overbore needed)
4. Carillo rods
5. Some custom intake piping (To accept new AFM)
6. Turbonetics T3/T04E turbo
7. MSD 720cc min. injectors
8. MSD 7AL2 ignition system
9. Mustang Cobra air flow meter
10. JWT pop charger
11. Spearco intercooler
12. Ported stock exhaust manifold
13. Blitz dual-solenoid boost controller
14. JWT tuned factory ECU
HP#'s = 475hp@6800 Rpm's
TQ#'s = 437 lb-ft@5250 Rpm's
With this B14 setup your sure to turn 11's if you can keep the tranny from breaking.....You may want to invest in some tranny beefing. The great thing about the GTiR is the stock goodies found in it...Such as, piston cooling oil squirters, variable intake cam, and direct ignition system...The GTiR engine features also included, a T28 factory turbo, beefier rods, larger bearings, stronger main cap bolts, and quad induvidual throtle bodies....
The quad throttle body setup offers precise AF meatering and near instant responce....The T3/T04E assosiated lag Kills this advantage, but throttle body flow will probably never be an issue...The 54C stamp on the block coincides with the GTiR motor that was in the Nissan motorsports Primera, which produced 300 N/A HP, likely because of better lubricated bearings in the bottom end. This setup should take a Viper V-10 on the street....
With little done to the internals such as JWT forged Z pistons (Overbore to 2048cc) And Carillo rods...The head is stock accept for the JWT prototype GTIR cams, which support 2 bars of boost (14.3 to 9Psi.= one bar) Its basicly a bolt in project when it comes to the swap (Unless you have a GXE or XE) The original motor mounts bolt up, and minmal modification is needed to fit the oil pan....The direct ignition system wont work with the US Spec ECU, Get a distibutor from a 94 up SE-R and strap it in.....To get the fuel output and spark, MSD 720cc/min injectors are needed along with a 7AL2 ignition for signal.....The stock AFM tops out at 270Hp so get a mustang cobra AFM (this is where the custom intake piping is needed) To top it all off istallthe modified JWT factory ECU and Blitz dual-Solenoid boost controller.....
* The Nissan tranny blows the SR20DE could wear the transmission out..Trouble points include, early run 5th gear synchro problems, a weak 3rd gear, and case cracking with slicks (too much grip) SR20 Development group can remedy these problems at several levels....Including cryo and Mil-spec shotpeening of the gear setup, welding the case and more.....
**About the AWD tranny that comes with it......Its useless and the AWD engines are hard to addapt to FWD.....
This will work on B14 Sentra/200sx's and has been done with an S12 RWD 200SX......
