iight.......i juss recently installed a b18b motor ..........and as we all kno the torque line is pretty nice......iight the question is.......when i decide to run her strong it seems to lag horribly in 3rd gear ( the motor is fine i think its juss the third gear sucks).......so what can i do to help my third gear pick up??........should i throw a vtec tranny up there or what! somebody tell me what i need cuz the 3rd gear kills me.........

you mean an SI tranny???? does the motor lag in any other gear? could be a breakdown of spark possibly....maybe..lol

 

get urself a b16 tranny, it has a lot shorter gears than ur b18b tranny..

 

I don't think it's a gearing problem. You may need to explain a little more about the problem.

 

u right it problem aint a gear problem........the problem is............it juss seems like it hauls ass 1rst -2nd but once it hits third that jank slow up ( it dont pull as hard no more).....im juss tryin to see what performance i can get to fix that......juss askin for help im a lil car illiterate....

i think it's the motor.......you're thinking it should be faster than it actually is.

 

I will trade my GSR tranny for your ls tranny....

 

get an SI tranny!!!!!!!!!
