audio question
u also want to check the fuse under the hood if its one of the round ones i see people at my shop all the time for them they heat up and the solder melts and it becomes a bad conection try pushing both sides of the fuse together and if it cuts on and stays on while ur holding it there u go
yeah i was running it loud for a while, but i've played it louder and longer several times before and it didnt make a difference. i know what you guys are talking about when you say the amp overheats, a friend of mine's did that, but my problem isn't exactly the same as his. When he did it, it turned off for a while, then when it came back on it played for a good 5-10 minnutes before it turned off again. mine only comes back on for a second or two then goes back off.
i'll check all the connections and then see if it's okay. but there might be a problem with the sub itself too. like, the center piece fell off, but it played fine for a few weeks with it off. (it's not a big piece, ehh maybe ill just post a picture) hmm i'm not an audio expert, so i'll check out the wires first and see what happens.
thanks for the replies

I had a kicker L7 do that and I had it returned. They said the sub was blown. I am not real sure how that was done since it wasnt in my car. It had the same symptoms as your amp. Try the amp out in someone else's car. That should pinpoint the problem.
