Default Alignment question that i'm having trouble visualizing

OK, here's the deal. Right now my car is slammed, and has been corrected with a front camber kit and an alignment. (95 civic coupe)

Tomorrow, i'll be returning my car to entirely stock suspension(no camber kit anymore either). I'm going to get another alignment donet asap, but in the mean time, will i be able to drive my car at all? I'm pretty sure my toe-settings are going to be horrid, can anyone verify that for me? I'm just slightly worried i'll have a problem driving my car to an alignment shop(which is only a mile and a half down the road)

I may have already answered my questions, which wouldn't suprise me, but i'm not for certain. Any help would be appreciated

My toe was horrible after I lowered my car, and I drove on it for 2 days. You should have no problem going that short distance. It was fun when I'd hit a bump though, because I'd lose control of my car if I lost a little grip.

jimmy, be very careful when you drive. think about it this way-

when your car was slammed and camber corrected your tires were sitting perfectly, like this ][ ][

now, with it raised up, and without camber correction, your tires are like this

\\ //

so now you have a very little driving surface to control the car. expect to spin out really easy, or slide alot....

This not true at all. You are showing camber, not toe. If you toe is off, you might pull to one side, hard to turn the wheel, and/or steering wheel will not be centered.

Its a very short distance he has to go though. I wouldn't reccommend driving on it, but like you say its only a mile and a half away. If all you did was drive it to the shop you should be fine. Just be more cautious, you only have a short distance to go, no reason to rush.

Just use the tie rod jam nut and adjusting nut and just look at the tires and try to straighten them as much as possible. This should help the car to steer straight but caster will still affect it.

no, he's talking about the toe settings.. the wheels would vere off to the outsides, it happened when i first slammed my car and corrected the camber kit not knowing it would affect the toe settings.

anyways, i ended up not swapping out the suspension today because well.. i suck at life and it wasn't working out right, until next wed. though
