sounds like an issue with idle, because when the car is cold it idles higher, but after it warms up your idle should drop around 750 or so and then when you cut your a/c on it will drop a little bit more. does it always die or just sometimes? check your idle rpm

Did you just happen to put more refrigerant in your system?

If you run your car long enough for your radiator fan to come on, without any loads (ie. no booming system playing, no A/C, no turning the steering wheel and no braking, no lights, etc.) how is your car idling?

Once you've checked the idle, turn on your A/C, is your condenser fan coming on?

The A/C compressor puts a good deal of strain/resistance on the engine, thus the reason why gas mileage with A/C is poorer than that with it off.

Will wait for response to PM before I go further.

If I let the car idles until the fan come on and with nothing on the car will idle almost at 1,000rpm.

The other thing is that I dont have an AC fan will that affect anything??

Yes, your condenser needs a fan. That is very likely your problem, the refrigerant is hot, thus expanded in the lines, thus placing a huge amount of stress on your A/C compressor, which means a much bigger load than it is supposed to apply to your engine.

Alright, I'll update you on it. I'm going to go put on the fan and see if it still dies. Thanks though..
