I'm getting ready to lower my new gsx, I'm just looking for some suggestions. not looking to get coilovers either. just Need to know a good spring/strut combo. I really want to lower it about 2 inches but I hear that the gsx has the exaust ran differently so there is not as much ground clearance as the gst's and gs's. It would also like to keep the ride somewhat smooth, I don't plan on autocrossing or anything except mayby the occasional trip to the track. Any suggestions are welcome.

lowering springs are not the way to go, one peice coilovers from Tein or JIC are really the way to do this right. having the adjustability is a huge advantage on the gsx so the rear does not have to be lowered as much the front. you can also adjust the dampening for a nice ride...........
it is worth paying twice as much, you dont want to screw up an AWD car

Ya, but like I said.. I'm not really trying to pay 1,000+ for coilovers that I will Probably never adjust once they're on the car. And the damping can be adjusted using adjustable struts with the springs also, thats not exclusive to coilovers. I just want to know what kind of springs the DSMers are using and which have the best look/ride... thanks.

for a basic lowering kit look at KYB AGX's and some Tein S-tech springs, you could go with Ebiach but have seen them sag way to soon.

eibach sportlines have around a 2 inch drop and a progressive spring design to make them comfortable. I'd get those with a set of AGX's... you should be very happy with that setup.

Progress springs with kyb-gr2 shocks or the AGX iv ran it on both of my 2g eclipses

i ran eibach sportlines with kyb agx struts, rode well and did well for the track. I now have D2 coilovers and i like them much better aside from them being purple.
