99 civic si with lexus tail lights conversion back to stock
hey everyone,
i have a 99 civic si that i bought from a kid a few years ago it currently has lexus is 300 tail lights which look retarded, i am not a body guy at all so i was wondering if it would be possible to convert the car back to the original tail lights from what ive read you cannot just replace the rear panels of the car so what type of body work would be involved for something like this?

it depends how it was done...it can be put back stock...price depends on how the conversion was done...if it was "rigged" then its easier to remove it...

and you can replace the quarters..it involves cutting the old ones off and welding the new quarters on...

hrm...if a kid did it you might be lucky, it might just be body filler, but....it could be worst because, they could of cut the metal. take a picture.

I used to own the car and traded him a GS-t for it.
The car came from Rhode Island from a Honda shop. The owner bought it for his son to rice out, son bought a different SI after they messed that one up. They for whatever reason put IS300 tails on the back of the civic. I bought the car for the ridiculously low miles and cheap price at the time. The only way back is to get donor quarter panels from another civic. Go on honda tech and see if anyone is will to ship you any off a random car somewhere. Good luck Matt.

this guy used to live down the street from me. pretty sure the GS-t is since gone for a 240. Eventually people will run out of trendy cars and get what they really like. Hope you find a way to go back to stock cause those lights look like balls.
