My neighbor has a del sol that wont start. It has been sittign in front of his house for about 3 months and yesterday when he trie to start it all it will do is just turn and turn.

We unscrewed the hose goign to the fuel filter under the hood to see if it was gettngi fuel. We turned the key to the on position and nothing came out, we tried to start the car and nothign came out.. does this car have a fuel pump fuse or realy that coudlve gone bad?

I even took one of the plug wires out and turned it over to see if I could get a spark..nothing. WTF?

I no nohting of hondas so if anyone could plesse chime in I would apprecate it.

Also we have teh plug wires all mesed up, what order do they go in?

 

Does it crank? Or just nothing at all when you turn the key?

Hey, it could be a couple things, if your not getting spark or fuel, more then likely it's the same problem causing it. Check under the dash for the fuses something like, alt. solenoid valve, or it could be the main relay, check all your fuses, before replacing any parts at all.

 

Also the firing order is 1342, you just gotta find out where number one goes.

 

it cranks just fine, just wont turn over

We checked all the fuses in the box under the dash and hood.

When we turn the key aernt we supposed to hear the fuel pump turn on?

Where is the main relay or what does it look like?

 

check grounds and then think of the fuel pump

 

I don't think it would be the fuel pump because he is not getting spark either. Tell me do you hear the pump prime or anything when you turn the key to acc. (one click forward)? If not then those are symptoms of both the alt. solenoid valve fuse, and main relay.

 

like stated above the firing order is 1342 and there is a circle under where the number one plug wire goes. the main relay looks like a litle orange box up under the steering wheel. its a pita to get to but i had problems with very hot days making my relay mess up before.
