I have a 95 vtec head and I was wondering if there is any way to tell which head it is. I'm trying to figure out if its the d16z6 head off of the 92-95 ex and si's, or if its the head that comes of the vx. The d16z6 is supposed to be more powerful, and I'm jus trying to find out how I can tell the difference between them.

 

look on the head for a P28 stamping, Doesnt the VX head have those roller rocker shits ????

There is some numbers on the head.....I don't know if u guys can tell me wut head it is from them but here they are. The first set is sideways.....510130938 the other marking saya P2J-3 ......any help/??

 

P2J is an OBD2 head I'm pretty sure.. There are P2P, P2T, etc that are all OBD2..

 

Are u sure its obd2??? The head says 95 on the right front of the head. Isn't 92-95 obd1 and 96-00 obd2? I'm just trying to figure out wut this head came off of so I can figure around how much power it will make.

 

if it says 95, that could be the production date, which may mean it's a 96 model year.
I don't really know, I'm just guessing..
